First,
the dentist will match the resin color with the patient's tooth color. The
surface of the tooth is roughened and applied with a gel and then a liquid
conditioner; this will make it easier for the bonding material to stick. Next,
the resin is applied to the tooth. The “curing” light is then shined on the
resin to harden, or cure, it onto the tooth's surface. Finally, the dentist
will get the resin to the desired, shape, height and width.
