Dental Bonding- Tooth Colored Fillings
Dental bonding is a procedure used to fill teeth after removing decay and cavities as well as correcting imperfections. With tooth colored bonding you can regain the natural appearance of teeth by correcting gaps, spots, chips, and discolorations. The material used is a durable resin with bits of porcelain in it, which is cured (or hardened) with a special light in office.  We are able to match the resin color to the patient’s actual tooth color to accomplish the most appealing look!  With the resin being the same color as the patient’s teeth, no one would even know you had work done.
Dental Bonding Procedure
First, the dentist will match the resin color with the patient's tooth color.  The surface of the tooth is roughened and applied with a gel and then a liquid conditioner; this will make it easier for the bonding material to stick.  Next, the resin is applied to the tooth. The “curing” light is then shined on the resin to harden, or cure, it onto the tooth's surface.  Finally, the dentist will get the resin to the desired, shape, height and width.
